Mindfulness at Monarch
Here at Monarch, we offer zen spaces for all residents. Our expansive and luxurious yoga space is perfect for physical and mental exercises. We encourage you to take up a yoga class this upcoming 2020 year. Yoga is scientifically proven to: reduce stress, relieve anxiety, reduce chronic pain/tension, relieve migraines, reduce inflammation, improve heart health, and better the overall quality of your life!
You may also meditate in the solarium for better mind-body awareness, decrease stress, and relieve mental duress!

New Year’s Day Yoga & Burning Bowl Celebration
Start your healthy New Year with Crofton Yoga on Wednesday, January 1st, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.! Release tensions, worries, doubts, and old habits during flow yoga. There will also be a Burning Bowl ceremony that mirrors the Japanese spiritual blessing, Reiju, for grounding, protection, and empowerment. Tickets for the workshop may be purchased online!
First Day Hike
Who doesn’t love a scenic and relaxing hike? Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks is hosting their first hiking excursion of the year from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.! Connect with nature and visit the new Quiet Waters Retreat. This moderate 2 mile hike is perfect for families.
1st Day Hike of Spa Creek
Melt your worries away with Spa Creek Conservatory on January 1st, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.! This scenic hike will show you: restored creeks, marshes, and beaver dams!
Rocket Yoga Master Class with Pat McLeaf
Take-off with infamous yoga instructor Pat McLeaf on January 3rd, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Improve your core and decrease blood pressure with primary, intermediate, and advanced Ashtanga poses. Tickets may be purchased online for $30/person.
2020 Body Back Transformation Info Session
On January 4th, preview an 8:15 a.m. class at Gambrills Fitness & Yoga Studio! You may join in and do the warm-up, high-intensity workout, and meditation session! If you’re interested, stay for the info session at 9:30 a.m. and share health goals and obstacles! This inspirational session will encourage you to meet all of your self-care goals!
Vision Board Workshop For The Introvert
Rejuvenate your mindset on January 4th, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. This FREE workshop will allow you to create your own vision board to reflect 2020 goals and inspire positive change! Vision boards are visual reminders to pursue motivation.
StaCentered Yoga is creating a serene environment on January 5th, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.! Ring in the New Year with yoga and Sound Meditation! Tickets may be purchased online for $15/person.
